  The masters at Caviar immortalized Alexander Ovechkin’s record in gold—the device’s body and the numbers 895 are plated with 24K gold. The number "8" holds special meaning for the Ovechkin family: Alexander began playing under this number as a tribute to his mother, Tatyana Ovechkina, a two-time Olympic champion of the USSR—it was her number on the Dynamo basketball team. That’s why, in Caviar’s design, the number 8 is adorned with red jewel enamel.
