In 1972, the great watch designer Gerald Genta introduced the legendary Patek Philippe Nautilus collection. His design was inspired by Philippe Stern, head of Patek Philippe, a famous yachtsman, an admirer of Lake Geneva, and an excellent skier.
In one of his interviews, Genta described the idea of the collection as follows: "Knowing the biography of Philipp Stern, I set out to create a watch that perfectly reflects his sports spirit and at the same time reminds of his passion, a watch for any occasion. This watch should have soft and rounded lines, like the waves of Lake Geneva... When working on Royal Oak, I was inspired by diving equipment, but for Philipp Stern, I decided to create a watch that had the shape of a porthole."
Genta named his collection after Captain Nemo's submarine, the Nautilus.
In honor of the legendary collection's fiftieth anniversary, Caviar designers created a unique design for the iPhone 13 which will perfectly complement the sophisticated image of the Patek Philippe Nautilus owner.
