Caviar has created a custom iPhone 17 Pro Max with a built-in dosimeter watch. A functional measuring module with a Geiger-Müller counter, capable of registering gamma radiation, is integrated into the central part of the body. The design of the smartphone follows the aesthetics of professional measuring instruments and radiation monitoring equipment.

The SIG-RM1208 Dosimeter Watch

The centrepiece of Geiger is the SIG-RM1208 dosimeter watch. Caviar integrated the device directly into the back panel of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, turning a technical instrument into the compositional centre of the custom.

The watch is equipped with a Geiger-Müller counter and allows monitoring of gamma radiation levels. Readings appear on a digital display, and once a set threshold is reached the device can issue a warning signal. The analogue side is driven by a Swiss Ronda 763 quartz movement.

Architecture of an Instrument

The body of Geiger continues the character of the measuring device itself. Massive metal panels, geometric edges, exposed screws and contrasting black elements create the image of high-precision industrial equipment.

Red indicator lines run along the central axis of the body — the signal marking of technical systems. At the bottom sits a sculpted radiation hazard symbol: it completes the composition and immediately reveals the purpose of the built-in device.

Measuring the Invisible

The concept of Geiger is devoted to the human ability to measure the invisible processes of the world around us. Radiation exists beyond direct perception — the Geiger counter translates it into figures and signals.

Caviar combined this function with one of the most recognizable personal devices of our time.

The iPhone becomes a smartphone, a watch, a dosimeter and a collectible technological object all at once.
