International luxury atelier Caviar introduces its new custom model, T-Great, based on Apple’s flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max. Inspired by American symbolism, the new device is Caviar’s response to the recent high-profile launch of the official T1 smartphone by Trump Mobile.
Background: Why the “Trump Phone” Disappointed the Public
In June 2025, Trump Mobile announced its ambitious project, the T1 smartphone, quickly nicknamed the “Trump Phone” by the media. The device was positioned as “fully American” and offered for pre-order with a $100 deposit.
However, when the first units finally began reaching journalists and bloggers in May 2026, the smartphone turned out to be based on a budget Wingtech/HTC model manufactured in Taiwan. The color of the case also differed from the promised gold tone. In addition, the creators made an unfortunate design mistake: the U.S. flag shown on the back panel featured only 11 stripes instead of the required 13.
Making the “Trump Phone” American Again
Caviar began receiving requests for a personalized design in the style of the T1. To create a truly premium product with an authentic American character, the brand chose Apple’s flagship device as its foundation. Apple remains a true pride of the American technology industry.
Caviar’s designers drew inspiration from the very first visual concept of the “Trump Phone,” then fully reimagined it through the language of jewelry craftsmanship. Plastic and low-cost printing were replaced with intricate handwork and precious materials.
Canonical flag: The back panel features a canonical U.S. flag made of gold and enamel. It includes exactly 50 engraved stars and exactly 13 stripes, consisting of 7 red and 6 white stripes. The stripes and blue field are crafted using the jewelry technique of hot cloisonné enamel, with gold partitions separating the colors.
Gold letter “T”: At the center of the composition, set against a textured gold field, is a raised letter “T” plated with 24K gold.
The custom design also includes an anodized black iPhone 17 Pro Max case, creating a bold contrast with the gold and enamel elements. The black case, absent from Apple’s flagship lineup, is an exclusive Caviar development.
The exclusive T-Great model will be available strictly as the iPhone 17 Pro Max with a 1 TB storage configuration. The price for this custom edition is set at $10,900.
